South Florida Tennis Club
Serving the LGBTQ+ Tennis Community Since 1987
Founded 1987 · Fort Lauderdale
More Than A Club, Its A Community
Founded in 1987, the South Florida Tennis Club has created a welcoming home for LGBTQ+ players and friends. What began as a small group of enthusiasts has grown into one of the longest-standing LGBTQ+ tennis clubs in the country.
Today, SFTC offers weekly socials, competitive ladders, and signature tournaments that attract players from near and far. It is a place where competition meets camaraderie, and where tennis helps strengthen our community both on and off the court.

Weekly Tennis
From ladder matches to casual socials and drills, SFTC keeps players connected on and off the courts every week.

Signature Tournaments
Home of the Clay Court Classic and seasonal events, SFTC hosts world-class competition with an inclusive spirit.

Community Connection
Beyond tennis, SFTC supports local charities and LGBTQ+ organizations, giving back through fundraising and partnerships.

A Legacy of Inclusion Since 1987
What began as a small group of tennis enthusiasts has grown into one of the longest-standing LGBTQ+ tennis clubs in the country. For 37 years, SFTC has fostered friendships, built champions, and given back to the South Florida community.
