The South Florida Tennis Club (SFTC), a nonprofit organization founded in 1987, is committed to developing and coordinating tennis activities that serve the LGBT community and its allies throughout South Florida. With a welcoming and inclusive environment, SFTC offers both competitive and social tennis opportunities for players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced athletes. The club's mission extends beyond the courts, as it actively supports local charities each year, giving back to the community in meaningful ways.
SFTC provides a wide range of tennis programs designed to meet the diverse needs and interests of its members. These include the highly competitive Spring and Fall Tennis Ladders for singles and doubles, team tennis events that promote camaraderie and teamwork, and a variety of tennis socials aimed at fostering community and friendships. Additionally, the club hosts regional tournaments and proudly organizes GLTA-sanctioned events, further establishing SFTC as a key player in both the local and international LGBT tennis scene. Through its combination of athletic excellence, social engagement, and charitable contributions, SFTC continues to thrive as a pillar of the South Florida sports community.
